EARLY ANCESTORS

The history of the family dates back to the year 1871, the document that supports this is a handwritten Baptism Certificate, According to this Baptism Certificate an Indian by the name of Kallu Singh, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, accepted Jesus Christ as his personal saviour. Initially he was from a Hindu background. The said Baptism Certificate is in possession of Vijay Michael (U.S.A.). We are not aware of his date of birth or the day he passed away, where he is buried., etc., any additional information, photograph is most welcome.

The earlier history, as to who his father and mother were, what their occupation was, and other information are not available.

According to the available information he had five sons :

Nain Singh

Cutting

Comfort

Budden

Spencer

  1. Correction; Kallu Singh was sikh. Our ancestors are called Pachhade, means from pachhim (West). They were soldiers in Maharaja Ranjit Singh army, they became rebellious and fled from Punjab to U.P. and settled there. Kallu Singh's son Nain Sukh of Dhanauri was Baptized by an American Missionary named F.M.Wheeler on December 12th,1870. I have that hand written certificate in my possession. Jagdish Michael

  4. Do you know,an incident, very interesting but true.Risal Singh was a very strong man. I should say, he was DABANG in his youth days. He killed a man with one blow to his head with closed fist. He was in jail and ordered to be hanged by Indian Court System, British were ruling in India that time. An influential American missionary got him released from jail and pardoned his execution. 6. This story is strange but true. Our Dada Hemraj Singh's wedding was fixed on certain date and time, he was traveling that day from Bihar to home for wedding,he could not reach on time home for some reason may be bus was or train was running late. Everyone were waiting for him impatiently.According to KUNDALI (hindi word) the wedding ceremony should be performed that time and hour otherwise no more wedding. So Nain Sukh decided to put Gulab Singh to marry her in his place. Gulab Singh sat down for wedding ceremony, soon after wedding ceremony was over,Hemraj Singh arrived home. Gulab Singh said to Hemraj, I already got married for you and here is your wife, Iam free now. This story is 100% true. Our ancestors were amazing people. How do you like this story?
