I have some information about Victor Michael, He lived at Begum Bagh, Meerut and also was a neighbour of Tina Singh (you will know more about her in the coming chapters), Colvins, Titus and one more christian family (I am forgetting their name). I have my childhood memory about Victor nana, as far as I can recollect he was tall and handsome, had white mustaches, a deep and loud voice, good sense of humor. I with my nani (Edith Singh) was a regular visitor to the family. Every holiday, it was either we visiting them at Begum Bagh or the family visited us at Nagla Battu.
Victor Michael was married to Ella Mawashi Singh and had four sons :
Raj Michael (or Raju Michael), he is very well known for the last post he held as the Director of Inghram Institute, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. He is now leading a retired life and is settled in Ghaziabad.
Jaswant Michael (more information on his is awaited)
Vijay Michael is married to Martha Michael and they have a son Rajesh Michael who is married to Catherine Michael. Their daughter is Neena Michael Stephen and she is married to Wes Stephens. The family is settled in U.S.A.

Secondly,I am thankful to God that Michaels family is blessed. I remember my father was very poor a honest pastor seen rough and hard days in life. This effort is bringing the family together.
My humble suggestion is that we should encourage the younger generation to be a part of this blog, they are no doubt more computer literate than us.
Secondly, the purpose of the blog is to bring the family together and then to pass on this entire information to the coming generation.
I think we took the initiative at the right time, otherwise all this information would have been buried under the grave stone ...

Wanted to give you more information about Victor Michael's family. Victor was the youngest of 3 brothers, Eric, Henry and Victor.
ReplyDeleteVictor was married to Ella Maushi Singh for over 50 years and both of them have passed away and are buried in Delhi in the christian cemetery on Prithvi Raj Road.
Victor Michael was in the Army and retired as a Subedar. He went back to work as a civilian in the JAG branch and retired from there. Ella Michael was a Math teacher in Meerut at Rajunath Girls School. They have four living sons, Raj Kumar Michael Of Ghaziabad. Jaswant Kumar Michael of Gurgeon, Ananad Kumar Michael of Jackson Mississippi, and Vijay Kumar Michael of Colleyville, Texas. All four brother went to Nanak Chand Anglo Sanskrit High School in Meerut and all four brother also went to Meerut College.
Raj Kumar Michael (retired /Was the Director of Ingrham Institute) was married to Maya Seth (Maya passed away last year) of Meerut, they have two daughter Anila Michael Dhanam (married to Krish Dhanam and have one son Nicolas) they lives in Flower Mound Texas. The other daughter is Rohina Michael Shah(married to Rajen Shah they have two children Ragni and Rahul Shah) and live in Delhi.
Jaswant Kumar Michael( Retired as a Major in the Army and also retired Director of CASA) is married to Sneh Lata Solomon and they have two children Arwind Michael and Anupma Michael Clare (Married to Santosh Clare and have one daughter Prathna Clare).
Ananad Kumar Michael (retired also) First wife was Mildred Mall (Tani of Dehra Dun / Passed away) his second wife is Sue Kumari Michael they live in Jackson Mississippi. Ananad has two children Veeresh Michael (Married to Sapna Michael) they have two children Joshua Michael and Emily Michael who also live in Mississippi. Ananad's daughter is Sujata Michael Vogel (Married to Robert Vogel) and have three children, Priya Vogel, Sarah Vogel and Matthew Vogel. The Vogels live in Houston , Texas.
Vijay Kumar Michael is married to Martha White Michael of San Antonio, Texas and have two children. Son Rajesh Michael (married to Catherine Michael) and Daughter Neena Michael Stephen (married to Wesley Stephen). all of Vijay's children live in the Dallas, Fort Worth, Texas area.

DeleteIn information about me, can I add that i studied in meerut college and did my MA LLB from Agra university. I practised at the Bar for a few years and then was commissioned at the army. I workked as an assistant Judge Advocate General in Shimla for 4 years and conducted court marshalls as a Judge Advocate. After my release from the army, i worked in HUDCO (housing and urban development corporation) as an administrator for 5 years. After that, i was selected as the director of CASA (Churches Auxilliary for Social Action)and worked in that capacity for almost 25 years. I have been the Chairperson of the biggest health organization in maharashtra and also the vice-president of the YMCA in New Delhi.
Im married to Dr. Sneh Lata Solomon who did her schooling from jodhpur and MBBS from SMS Medical College, Jaipur, Rajasthan. Thereafter, she worked at railways and cleared her UPSC exam and joined Central government Health Scheme where she worked for 10 years and is now retired.
We have two children-
1)Anupma Michael who studied B.Comm Honours at Jesus and Mary College at Delhi University and is married to Santosh Clare who is a postgraduate in economics from Loyola college. Apart from working in various organizations he has worked for a number of years in a senior capacity at CASA after which he continues to work at DFID (Department for International Development) as senior programme manager. they have one daughter, Prarthna Michael Clare who was born in New Delhi and is studying engineering at BITS Pilani Dubai campus.
2) Arvind Michael who was born in Jodhpur in 1969. he studied at bharatiya vidhya bhavan at New Delhi.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Vishal MICHAEL. Yes, another Michael of the Michael’s family. My father is Mohinder Michael and my grandfather was Eric Michael. I stumbled upon this site from a Facebook post today which my elder sister posted. I’ve been reading and looking through the pictures and can’t express how happy I am to be a part of such a legacy :) I learned so much about my roots from this site.
The funny thing is that yesterday I was going through some old pictures of my family and came across some black and white pictures of my mom and dad and me as a young child in my grandfather’s hand. As I recall his memories, I can say that he was a very nice man and he loved me the most out of my other two sisters.. hehehhe J/K. I was nine when he died.
My father told us many stories about the way he grew up but I was a young boy and did not pay much attention to what he said but I do recall some of those hilarious stories. I would love to have a family reunion and get to know some of the Singhs and the Michaels. I’m proud to be a Michael man. Please keep updating.
